The Bose® Acoustic Noise Cancelling® system uses an innovative
technology that actually analyzes sound and dramatically reduces unwanted background
noise. Inside the earcup, a tiny microphone senses low frequency sound that is not part of
the signal being played and sends it to sophisticated electronics, where an opposite
signal is created. Because this signal is 180 degrees opposite the original noise, it
effectively reduces it.
